When in Rome: A Few Recommendations

The American Academy in Rome featured some of my favorite Roman places in the lastest issue of their semi-annual magazine (see page 44 for the list, including art, architecture, and of course food). I head back to Rome tomorrow to revisit many of them—and to dig into the archives as I continue work on my latest book project, The Street of the Hidden Shops. Is it too early to hope for local artichokes??
