Jorge Otero-Pailos and the Dust of Rome

I’m fascinated by the idea that buildings are a process—not just the building of them, but their ongoing existence. It’s a theme in my latest writing project, The Street of the Hidden Shops. And it is also central to the work of visual artist and historic preservationist Jorge Otero-Pailos, whose beautiful installation for the my exhibition Regeneration lives on in the American Academy courtyard. Read more about the project and explore more images on the Otero-Pailos website.
