"Typical Venice?"

I’m exited to announce my most recent article, “Imitation as Mercantile Strategy: The Case of Damascene Ware,” just out in Typical Venice? The Art of Commodities, 13th-16th Centuries (Brepols Publishers). I am grateful to the editors, Ella Beaucamp and Philippe Cordez, and the fantastic crew of scholars they brought together, for this volume, and for three magical days spent in Venice together in 2016. Grazie!
